GoGrid – Important Windows Security Notification

At GoGrid, we’re constantly striving to keep our customers’ infrastructure secure and up-to-date. That’s why our team has issued an advisory for all GoGrid customers to update their Windows servers for the vulnerability recently announced by Microsoft related to the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).

The vulnerability affects all versions of Windows operating systems and may allow an un-patched system to be exploited. Therefore, we strongly recommend that all customers with Windows platforms patch their systems as soon as possible.

GoGrid also suggests that as a security precaution, customers should limit their RDP connections via TCP port 3389 to only selected dedicated IPs as your first line of defense against such exploits.

Thursday, April 19 2012 19:00 - 23:59m PDT (GMT -7)

There should be no impact to the power in the facility and no down time is expected.

Data Center:
US-West-1

Maintenance Details:
The expected time on generator should be approximately 5 hours.
Monthly Generator Run (test) required to ensure contingent power in case of an outage.

Network Issue - U.S. West Coast - Resolved.


Some customers are reporting a network outage and are not able to reach their servers. Currently, our Networking Team is investigating the issue. Please log a case to be notified or check here for further updates.

Update1: @23:50 PDT - Some customers report continued related networking issues.  Our Networking Team is continuing to their investigation.

Update2: @02:00 PDT - The Networking team has reported this issue should be resolved. Please contact the GoGrid Support Center if you are still experiencing any networking issues.

GoGrid Network Maintenance

GoGrid Network Maintenance Window:

Monday, March 12, 2012 18:00 - 20:00 PDT (GMT-7)

Customer Impact:

Notice only for US-West-1 Servepath / Coloserve customers. Customers will experience a 30-60 second interruption or degradation in private networking service during this maintenance window. Services that require private switching such as NAS, SAN, Firewalls, cloud connect, Managed Backup and intra server communication will be impacted based on their deployment.

US-West-1

Maintenance Details:

The GoGrid Networking Team is performing an upgrade to the US-West-1 private network infrastructure by adding additional switch ports to increase physical link redundancy.

GoGrid will be performing an Electrical Panel inspection in the US-West-1 data center. During this maintenance a technician will inspect and retrieve readings of main electrical panel feeding UPS 2 and 4. This is a precautionary notice. No interruption in service is expected.
