Important Update - GoGrid DNS Service

GoGrid is in the process of updating our DNS platform to a more robust and reliable infrastructure. A few important customer-impacting events must occur for the migration to succeed. Please read this entire notice for the event details.

1) Monday, May 28, 2012 20:00 to Tuesday, May 29, 2012 08:00 PDT (GMT-7)
Changes to the GoGrid DNS system will be placed on hold during this time. All requests received after 20:00 PDT will be completed after the maintenance window.
2) Customers who use GoGrid as a secondary or slave NS provider need to update their settings to allow zone transfers to additional servers. GoGrid won't function properly as a slave or backup if these changes aren't made by May 29,2012.

Maintenance Details:
Our UPS vendor will be onsite to replace capacitors on one of the UPS that feeds the US-WEST1 data center.

Public Network Packet Loss - Resolved


The GoGrid Networking Team  is currently working on resolving customer packet loss with an identified pair of core routers as well as with upstream providers.

Update - The Networking Team is continuing to work to resolve the issue impacting a portion of GoGrid customers and is investigating the root cause with upstream providers.

Update 2 - Working with our upstream providers, the Networking Team has identified a significant amount of inbound traffic typically characteristic of a denial of service attack and is taking action to remedy.

Update 3 - After taking action, network activity has returned back to normal. The Networking Team will continue to monitor the situation with our upstream providers.

Problems Accessing Saved Images - Resolved

Due to maintenance on our Cloud Storage clusters in the EU-West (AMS) and US-East (IAD) data centers – virtual machine images you have saved there are temporarily not visible via the portal.  This will restrict your ability to add a new Virtual Machine based specifically off of those saved images until we restore that function in the GoGrid Portal.  We anticipate this maintenance to be complete in roughly 12 hours of this posting.  This does not affect any other VM, network or storage service nor does this apply to the US-West (SFO) data center.  We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

GoGrid Network Maintenance - Completed

GoGrid Network Maintenance Window:
Monday, April 16, 2012 18:00 - 20:00 PDT (GMT-7)

Customer Impact:
Notice only for US-West-1 Servepath/Coloserve customers. Expected customer impact is a 30-60 second interruption or degradation in private networking service. A maximum interruption of 10 minutes may occur during this maintenance window. Services that require private switching such as NAS, SAN, Firewalls, Cloud Connect, Managed Backup and intra-server communication will be impacted based on their deployment.

US-West-1

Maintenance Details:
The GoGrid Networking Team is performing an upgrade to the US-West-1 private network infrastructure by adding additional switch ports to increase physical link redundancy.

GoGrid – Important Windows Security Notification

At GoGrid, we’re constantly striving to keep our customers’ infrastructure secure and up-to-date. That’s why our team has issued an advisory for all GoGrid customers to update their Windows servers for the vulnerability recently announced by Microsoft related to the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).

The vulnerability affects all versions of Windows operating systems and may allow an un-patched system to be exploited. Therefore, we strongly recommend that all customers with Windows platforms patch their systems as soon as possible.
